Hanging your Painted Cellars Creation

Need some help on how to make the most of your Painted Cellars painting?
We share some of our tips to help you proudly display it in your home!

Step one: Frame or no frame?

Your first step should be deciding if you’d like to frame your masterpiece or display your canvas as is. Luckily for you, we use fast-drying acrylic paint which can create its own “frame” if you prefer to leave it. However, if you’d like to add a little something, you can use a floater frame to house your painting and draw some extra attention to it.

Step two: Location, location, location

Next, you’ll need to decide where your painting will live in your home. While a common living area is naturally a popular choice, don’t be afraid to get creative (like our guest @jusjessr in the photo below!) and use your painting to spice up a space like your deck or guest bathroom. A little pop of color goes a long way in a small space!

Step three: Getting technical

There are no rules on how to hang art, but a tape measure and level will be your best friend. This painter’s tape hack from The Thriving Home Blog is a lifesaver! A good way to decide how high or low to hang your painting is to visualize your space and divide it into four equal parts from floor to ceiling. Hang your painting somewhere within those two middle sections.

Step four: Fill the space

If you decide to hang your painting on a large wall, you may want to integrate your painting into a larger gallery. A lone painting on a single wall can look odd, but framing your colorful Painted Cellars painting with smaller art in a similar style will really make it pop. Pinterest is the ultimate gallery wall inspiration spot, so check them out and get inspired!

Step five: Enjoy!

All the hard work is done, so just sit back, relax and enjoy your beautiful painting with the ones you love!
